According to TERA's official report, most players choose the supreme attribute "Increases attack speed by 8%" while picking the weapon attribute. That is because weapons attached with such an attribute can not only boost attack, but also reduce the cast time of skills and spells, which makes such weapons extremely expensive in the auction house.

Nevertheless, the official company reminds players that this attribute also has disadvantages. Please check details below:
First, though the supreme attribute can improve the attack speed, it shortens the skill's attack range in the meantime. For example, if a slayer equips a weapon with this attribute, his/her attack range will be shortened from 8 meters to 4 meters. This bug has already been confirmed by TERA's official company.

The slayer can attack the opponent within 8 meters.

The cast time of the attack skill is increased by 1 sec or so.

Second, warriors and slayers dodge faster accordingly, which leads to a shorter invincible time. Although the time is only reduced by 0.1 sec, it will have an important impact on players' survival in the ultimate instances, like Golden Maze and Akmha's Hideout.

As the increase of attack speed can directly affect all a character's actions, such disadvantages are generated. It is not good news for warriors, who always act as tanks in a group, because they mainly use the dodge skill in combat, but they must give up the role of tanks if they pursue massive damage. They are really put in a dilemma.

To solve this problem, the official company has decided to narrow the serviceable range of attack speed, but the exact update date hasn't been announced yet.
