The Nexus system is representative of a “public quest.” It allows players that are in an area to band together to accomplish a goal. In terms of the Nexus, this is to take down enemy mobs that come in waves. This is only for players of level 58 or higher, and takes place in the end-game zones and at certain times. Most groups prefer to start just north of Zulfikar Fortress.

There are a total of three different levels to the system, and each of these has different mobs and rewards. As you get from one to the next, you will keep gaining more gold, reputation and Agnitor credits to use for reputation gear. This is also progressive, so if you are able to complete a Nexus you will gain the rewards from all three quests. A chart showing the three stages, as well as their associated rewards is as follows:

As you can see by the chart, the last stage is by far the most rewarding, if you're able to complete it. Since these rewards are stacking, it makes sense that you want to go for the furthest. It is worth noting, however, that the final stage will usually take a while to complete, but the rewards are well worth the time and effort.
It is very important to note that you will only get the rewards if you are actually participating in the Nexus. Furthermore, the more people that are participating, the faster you can run each Nexus and the more rewards you will get (since rewards are based solely on finishing each stage, and are not at all affected by how many players are taking part). Due to this, it's best to run them with a lot of other players to maximize the earnings during the event.
The run-down of the different stages is as follows:
In this stage, you are against a lot of normal mobs. It's pretty simple to get through, even with a smaller group of players. As a result, the rewards are also lower.

During this phase, you are against more normal mobs but also have three teralith BAM's that must be taken down. These do quite a bit of damage and have a lot of health, so you will need a couple organized groups to take them down.
The strategy here is to burn down the normal mobs using AoE's while focusing down one BAM at a time. The other two can be pulled off to the side somewhere while the first is being killed.
This is the final stage, in which you are against normal mobs and a strong boss-like dragon. This one has a huge amount of health and will take multiple groups to take down. Furthermore, you'll need to watch out for his attacks as he does a lot of AoE's and tail swipes.
Different days will yield different results in terms of how many players are clearing out the Nexuses. Because of this, each day can bring about different strategies. It's important to choose the one that best fits your current situation when you are out clearing them, as it will help maximize the efficiency of your group, as well as boost the amount of rewards that are earned.
If you have 10 or less players and no tank (or 5 but with a tank), you'll want to clear just the Stage 1's. This allows you to skip the BAM's, as you won't have the DPS to make it worthwhile to work on them, nor the tanks to effectively hold the bosses.
If you have 15 or more players, at least two tanks and two healers, you'll want to clear Stage 1 and Stage 2. This won't be enough for the final stage, but it's enough to take down the first two.
If you have 20 or more players, at least one tank and 4 or more healers, you should be set to knock out the entire Nexus. The last boss is pretty heal-intensive, which is why the healers are necessary to complete it.
Please note that these are generalizations. Your group may or may not be able to handle the Nexus stages with the above setups. These are just to help better understand what's usually required for each, to help give yourself a heads-up as to what to expect and how to know when you should move on or keep trying.

Running the Nexus with a healer is a huge benefit, as there is a debuff that is constantly being added to all players within the area. This debuff increases attack speed but also causes a poison effect to be experienced, and it's stack-able.
While you can exit the Nexus area when you get up to 3 stacks of the debuff (in order to lose it), it's recommended not to. This will not only cut down on DPS done, but the attack speed is a massive benefit.
If you are not in a group with a healer, and there is not anyone throwing out heals to everyone, you can find motes on the ground that the mobs drop. These come in two forms: Regeneration and Healing. Regeneration ones heal you over time, whereas Healing ones give an instant boost to health. There's usually plenty of these on the ground for everyone to get some, but don't go around picking up all of them as other players will also need some.
