A great addition to Tera was made for players that are interested in leveling up their professions but previously did not have the time or money to do so. Crafting used to be extremely expensive, forcing most players to either not get far or to spend all of their time and money doing nothing but working towards it. With the addition of the crafting quests, however, this is made significantly easier and crafting is now available to all players, without the massive amount of work that was previously needed. Let's take a look at how to get the quests, how to complete them, and a couple other things related to this massive change to the game.
The crafting quests were already in Tera at one point, back in the beta stages of the game. It's still not entirely known why they were removed, but players have been asking for them ever since the game's launch when they realized the crafting quests had disappeared. It took a couple of months to get them back in the game, but now they're here!
It's worth noting that another change happened prior to this, which is the increase of skill points earned per craft from 2 to 6. The quests are based on the older method of leveling, whereas the reality is that you will out-level them very quickly. Read the “trick to faster completion” section below for the easiest and cheapest method for getting your crafting levels up!
The new crafting quests are quite simple to get. They are available at the same boards you find guild quests on, and are therefore available in any town and city. There are crafting quests for every one of the professions, and they will allow you to get all the way to level 410, aside from Alchemy which only goes up to 350. Along with this, the quests are based on your current crafting level, so if you've already started crafting you won't have to do each quest in sequential order – you'll simply start wherever you are and move forward from there!

Getting the quests finished is just as simple as crafting some items. The quests each give something to create and some of the materials that are needed to do the craft. From here, you just find the materials that need to be bought from the NPC's, purchase them, and enjoy your quick crafting at a very cheap cost. It's important to note that none of the materials you will need for any of these quests require you to kill mobs or utilize the trade system; everything is available from the NPC's in one way or another.
The crafting quests don't give much in terms of their rewards, other than allowing you to boost your crafts. As a result, it's not important to actually complete them. Each quest wants you to create 25 items, of which each item will give 6 skill points. At the same time, however, each stops leveling you after every 50-level bracket. This essentially means you only need to do enough to hit the next 50-level block and then you can drop the quest and pick up the newest one. While you won't be actually completing any of the quests, this saves a lot of time and money! Note that for every new quest, you will need to return to the guild quest board again.

It's hard to give an accurate cost of doing the quests, but there is the consideration of both time and money involved. It has been stated that each craft, going from 0-410, is about 100 gold and about an hour of your time. With this considered, it's easy enough even for lower level players to start leveling up their crafts so they can make gear and potions while out working on leveling up.
This change has altered the market significantly when it comes to the prices of items, both in terms of the materials themselves, as well as crafted items. As an example, runes, being that they are not needed in massive quantities just for leveling up crafts, have gone down in value to help reflect this. On the same token, items such as potions and scrolls have gone down in value because all players are now able to easily level up their crafts, reducing the requirement of using the market to find other crafters to purchase these items from.
While some will see these market changes as being a negative (especially those who relied on their crafts to earn gold), others will see it as a positive. The players hurt the most by this change are those that recently finished leveling up their crafts the hard way, whereas they've spent a lot of time and gold on something that's now easily accessible and significantly cheaper to complete.
